The Eee PC T91 is the first touchscreen Netbook of the company that created the category of laptops Netbook. It is too early to know if consumers are going crazy for T91 in the same way they have for all the other Eee PC, but it’s safe to say this is quite unique mini tablet. The Eee PC T91 has a thin and light chassis design weight of just two pounds and measuring no more than an inch thick. The lithium polymer battery composed certainly helps to maintain a minimum thickness, but the lack of an extended life battery option may bother some buyers (more on that later).
The new Eee PC T91 uses a nice, bright 8.9-inch backlit LED display panel with a resolution of 1024×600. The glossy screen offers good color and contrast, but the glare and reflections under strong lights indoors or outdoors under direct sunlight can be a problem. Accuracy of the touch screen looks good, although our review unit required a recalibration after he arrived from the touch screen shows the activity of half an inch to the right of where we’ve touched the screen. After calibration everything worked fine.
The T91 is fast becoming compressed mode with a twist of the screen and press the screen rotate button engaged. The included stylus pen is not very large, and indeed collapses to half its size for storage inside the silo for the pen in the front of the T91. The biggest problem I have with this pen (not the small) is that often collapses when the smaller size is being used to write notes.
